William B. Ruger: An American legend & his legacy

Article Abstract:

William Batterman Ruger is not only remembered for his legacy in gunsmithing, which produced many of the finest firearms, but also for his legacy in the fight for the right to bear arms. Ruger is a staunch advocate of gun ownership, a position he defended in numerous congressional investigations.

The first Rugers

Article Abstract:

William B. Ruger designed and built the first of a long line of firearms that bear his name. The first Rugers were manufactured in a small company Ruger set up with his friend Alexander McCormick Sturm which has since grown into a huge firearms firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Beretta heritage
