Jill Graham

Article Abstract:

A photographer discusses the thought processes behind her work, borrowing a phrase from philosopher Jacques Lacan. She says the way she knows what she is by knowing what she is not. Her way of playing with society's shared concept of a snapshot, and the recurring theme of paradox in her work, are discussed.
