A new twist on tears: sometimes it's important to let kids work out their feelings by crying

Article Abstract:

What most parents understand about the crying of children and babies is that the act is merely a means to express needs and discomfort. However, when they begin to realize that crying's secondary function is as an emotional release, then this may teach them to allow their children to express pent-up feelings during various stages in life.
