Article Abstract:

The women's movement opened spaces for women in traditionally male venues through the enactment of civil rights laws. They are beginning to impact academic discussions about crime and victimization as well laws and are creating new venues for discussion about how criminal justice system ought to operate.

Shakespeare's female victims: criminology and fiction

Female victimization in literary works is explored and contemporary research to make parallels is also introduced. Analysis of how William Shakespeare employed theatrical scenarios relevant to both historical and contemporary theories relating to female victimization is also done.

Juvenile female arrests: a holistic explanation of organization functioning

Article Abstract:

The feminist theory is elaborated with the help of Emerson's notion of holistic effects. It is proposed that the processing of juvenile female status offenders may vary systematically with the level of sex crimes in a community.
