Aussies bet 118,000 pounds sterling on Scots

Article Abstract:

The Veterinary Informatics ad Epidemiology Group has been created by two Scottish universities to look at veterinary problems by using statistical data and mathematical modelling. The group has already been given 2 million pounds sterling for research projects. A research team led by Stuart Reid is looking into the problem of premier young racehorses breaking down before they have raced. The research is funded by the Australian Rural Industries and Development Corporation, at a cost of 118,000 pounds sterling. The group has also worked on problems, such as bovine viral diarrhoea virus.
