Breaking the cycle of violence

Four women recount how they ended domestic violence and moved on with their lives. Julia Jones pressed charges against her husband, Daphne Pryor went to a shelter for battered women, Denise Villescaz sought police help and Rebecca Singleton joined her company's domestic violence counseling program.

Ah, sweet mastery of life

Article Abstract:

The midlife stage should be underlined by mastery of life and the self. Mastery is made up of three factors, including high-self-esteem, a sense of control and low levels of anxiety and depression. Women can also enjoy midlife by coming to terms with the past.
