CVS and amnio: what you need to know

Article Abstract:

CVS and amniocentesis tests are good ways of detecting birth defects, but have a slight risk of infection or miscarriage. Tests are usually only given to pregnant women over 35, or women who are at higher risk for having babies with defects. Procedures for performing these tests are described.
