Corporate America hits the books

Article Abstract:

The number of adult learners is increasing at a steady pace. Statistics have shown that 48% of all college students in the US are classified as adult learners and half of these learners were women. Several college recruitment campaigns have aimed their correspondence courses at an aging student body. This has been partly due to the effects of technological innovations that have made it necessary for employees to keep up with these changes by receiving training from vocational and technical institutions.

Books such as the 'Complete Idiot's' series and '...For dummies' guides provide complete instructions on software, while user groups are another source of information on computer hardware and software.
