Chasing after a missed opportunity for love involves evaluating first what caused one's last relationship to fail, then communicating one's feelings to the person. When dealing with an unforgiving parent, one must not take rejection personally, and one must find a way to accept each other's differences. How to save a seemingly unhealthy friendship is also given.

When dealing with weight-obsessed friends, one should let it be known that the friendship will remain regardless of the friend's size. Advice on dealing with coworkers who use headphones at work is also given.

The last letter sender asks for advice on how he can be a better stepfather to a 7-year old boy whose parents do not seem to be disciplining him.
