Emergency contraception without a prescription

Washington State has made initiatives to make emergency contraception pills (ECP) available to women without prescription. ECPs, which enable women to avoid pregnancy even after 72 hours, have been used by 2,700 women in the first four months of the project's implementation.

Morning- after pill

Article Abstract:

The Emergency Contraceptive Pill is a safe and effective regimen for birth control used by women after sexual intercourse. Six specific brands of ordinary birth-control pills can be taken in high doses up to 72 hours after unprotected sex then again after 12 hours.

The outlook for ovarian cancer patients may be improving

Article Abstract:

A clinical trial using the National Cancer Institute's experimental therapy employing larger doses and three drugs showed improved results for treatment of ovarian cancer. However, most health plans do not answer for therapies still under study.
