Find job hunting help

Article Abstract:

Many job seekers often pay to be assisted by placement firms or headhunters. There are some advantages and disadvantages to this. One advantage is that when a job seeker is searching for a junior management position, some placement firms may be in the better position to pursue the position for the job seeker than the seeker himself since many firms only provide their listings of vacancies with these firms and hardly advertise. However, these firms will find a job for the job seeker for a considerable fee and does not give the seeker the control over certain conditions involved in the new job.

How to request a raise

Article Abstract:

Employees who are planning to ask for a salary increase should evaluate their own job performance. If they feel that they have contributed significantly to the success of a company and have performed tasks beyond their expected duties, they have a greater chance of winning a salary increase. They may also research on the salary scale used by their competitors. Lastly, the employees should carefully choose the time they would make their pay raise requests. They should take into consideration the company's financial status, as well as their managers' moods.
