Fine-tune your managerial skills for the 21st century

Article Abstract:

Management styles that were effective during the early part of the century have been proven to be unwise by modern standards. Several old-school managers have not changed their command and control management style. This results in employee burnout and dissatisfaction. Management styles developed during the late 1980s to the early 1990s have been proven to be effective since the modern style utilizes the empower and encourage model which promotes employee loyalty and creativity in providing solutions.

Building and maintaining employee motivation

Article Abstract:

Businesswomen can build and maintain employee motivation by keeping employees fulfilled both financially and professionally. Tips in motivating employees include celebrating employee accomplishments, criticizing in private and keeping it professional, conducting regular performance appraisals, pairing veterans with junior employees and making training a priority.

Due to the change in economy, managers are very careful about recruiting and increasing budgets. This results in few people having increased workload and stress. A few tips have been provided to motivate employees and increase productivity resulting in growth of business.
