How to be a happy black sheep

Article Abstract:

Choosing to be different to other family members is a positive affirmation, since it demonstrates a level of independence and autonomy. However, stressful situations may occur in relationships with others who do not understand the choices made. Advice is presented on dealing with this dilemma.

Women's cancers

Many women are fighting cancer with aggressive treatment as well as strategies for prevention, and more women are living longer. There are about eight million women in the US who have been diagnosed with cancer, and five million of them received the diagnosis at least five years ago.

Three cases studies are presented of women who faced cancer and had to make life-altering decisions about their health care. In additional to evaluating their personal needs, they were required to consider the impact on the lives of their family members for future years.
