"I survived post-traumatic stress disorder."

Article Abstract:

A woman, who was raped and subsequently began suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, took up sky-diving to help cope with the disorder. Some 20% of people who go through a traumatic experience, will develop post-traumatic stress disorder, but the condition is treatable.

Health experts are eyeing to provide an alternative prevention to obesity by regulating the secretion of neuropeptide Y (NPY) in the body. By minimizing the production of NPY, a chemical substance in the brain which stimulates appetite, people may lose their penchant for food.
