In the temple of the trout: mother and daughter revel in the spiritual nature of fly-fishing

Article Abstract:

A women who went fly-fishing with her 72-year-old mother on the Gunnison River in Colorado describes the various mistakes she made. She incorrectly called the fly rod a pole and put her hands in her chest waders. The highlight of the day was when a rainbow trout spit back the fly at her.

Learning to spit
