Know how to handle menopause

Article Abstract:

Menopause need not be inconvenient for both women and the people they live and work with. Estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) is usually the treatment doctors recommend for women who are in the early stages of menopause. Since estrogen directly affects the brain's ability to function, ERT can help relieve the discomforts of such symptoms as hot flashes, lack of sleep and fatigue. Not all women should go through ERT when nearing their 50s. There are women who go through menopause with little discomfort.
