A personal narrative is presented from a mother whose child has just learned to say "I dunno". Taking his example, the mother replies to questions from family and colleagues with these two words, and realises that they can generate self sufficiency in others.

Magic carpets

The selection of carpets for some of the busiest rooms in the house is discussed. Carpets provide soft and cozy flooring for babies and toddlers. Different ways to handle the nasty spills on the carpets are discussed.
