During the weeks immediately after the birth of the baby, mothers may have to make more food each time they cook and freeze it for future use. Recipes for certain dishes that can be kept frozen for long periods without loss of taste or nutritive content are presented.

Various recipes of marinada, turkey chilly and others rich in iron and calcium minerals are presented that should be consumed by pregnant women. Iron helps the blood carry oxygen to all the tissues in the body, whereas calcium helps to build baby's bones and teeth.
