Article Abstract:

Many women go to any lengths to confirm to the standards prescribed by the beauty industry to attain a perfect body. The National Organization for Women Foundation scheduled Love Your Body Day, which is a day of actions protesting negative images of women in the media, raising awareness of women's health issues and celebrating the beauty and diversity of all women's bodies.

Drive for equality: Failure is impossible

Article Abstract:

The National Organization for Women's (NOW) top priority is to ensure the defeat of President George Bush in the election scheduled for late 2004. NOW's Drive For Equality would mobilize a political force of women voters that would win the 2004 presidential election and keep working until they have control of Congress and the courts from extremists.

Women with disabilities and allies link arms at forum

Article Abstract:

Women living with or without disability share many of the same concerns and challenges such as limited access to employment, education, financial security and medical services. The NOW foundation and the American Association of People with Disabilities have come together to work for the betterment of these special women.
