A woman describes her experiences participating in a sailing course offered through Womanship, a group that uses the motto 'nobody yells.' Many women enjoy learning sports such as sailing in an all-female environment. Many of these courses and schools emphasize cooperation rather than competition.

Summertime and the living is easy...

Article Abstract:

Eighteen different ways to enjoy summer outdoors are described, ranging from light exercise to extreme sports. They include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, scuba diving, fly-fishing, caving and hang gliding. Personal accounts by women athletes are also included.
