Packwood hearings in question

Article Abstract:

The activists of National Organization of Women demanded a public hearing to the charges of sexual harassment against Sen Bob Packwood. Sen Barbara Boxer has pledged to bring the issue to the floor of the Senate if the Committee decides against open hearings. Though Packwood had offered to resign and also to have an open hearing earlier, he had not done either. The report of the Ethics Committee also show substantial evidence against Packwood.
