Banking on your blood

Autologous blood donation is a process wherein persons donate their own blood to be used during surgery. The process eliminates the risk of receiving HIV infected blood and can be performed by Red Cross centers.

Plaque attack: more Canadians need to make floss boss

Article Abstract:

Plaque which forms under the gum line can accumulate and lead to gum disease. A research reveals that only 16% use the dental floss out of the 74% of Canadians who brush regularly. Daily flossing is recommended.

The cold that won't go away

Prolonged colds could be an indication of sinus infections. These can be treated by taking doctor-prescribed antibiotics, hot showers, steam inhalation and saline nasal solutions.
