The Najar family of Glendale, CA prides itself on its American assimilation. Yet, Leo Najar likes to resort to Mexican cooking every Christmas. His six children visit and indulge in their father's recipes and create an unusual menu. It includes Clams Laguna, shrimp with garlic, Chicken Tamales Leopoldo, and flan for dessert.

Positive effects
Article Abstract:
A study shows that divorced mothers' employment has a positive effect on their children. The children have good relationships with their mothers and have higher self-esteem than children of mothers who do not work. Information on after-school activities for children is also given.
