Article Abstract:

Electron beam computed tomography is a screen test which scans arteries for the presence of calcium deposits, designed for people with an intermediate risk for heart disease. Breast magnetic resonance imaging, meanwhile, is designed for women with a high risk for breast cancer. The features, mechanisms and benefits of both tests are discussed.
