Independent counsel withdraws subpoena for Hubbell manuscript

Independent counsel Kenneth Starr withdrew a subpoena for Webster Hubbell's manuscript of 'Friends in High Places', a biographical book including his experience as Arkansas Chief Justice, law partner of Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Associate Attorney General of the United States. Publisher of the book William Morrow and Co argued in favor of journalists' qualified privilege stemming from the First Amendment protecting them from compelled disclosure of unpublished notes.
