Cosmetics industry surveys suggest that 80% of women consider their skin to be delicate, while dermatologists estimate that this is true in no more than 30% of cases. The difference in opinion may be attributed to confusion over skin terminolgy. Different skin conditions and solutions are examined.

It is estimated that 1.3 million cases of skin cancer will be seen in the US in one year. Five pieces of advice are presented on how to look after your skin in the sun, such as remembering to apply sunscreen to ears and feet and checking the labels of sun care products.
