Stay the course to weather today's market

Article Abstract:

Today's declining investment market may dampen the enthusiasm of investors, particularly those who are new to the practice. As a guide to new and seasoned investors, five investment rules have been drawn up to help them survive the dips and turns of the errant stock market. These rules include the need to stay invested, stay with quality stocks at bargain rates, stay diversified, to remain focused and stay calm. An investment representative could also be approached to address any concerns and questions that the investor may have.

THE ABWA opportunity

Article Abstract:

Carolyn Elman, Chief Executive Officer of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), talks about her experience during an exercise during one of their workshops. She saw a participant reluctant to join the activity and then she realized that with this woman holding back, others are deprived of an opportunity. Carolyn Elman explains that a portion of the value of ABWA is an opportunity for all of its members, to reach back to the others and pull them forward.
