Beauty is in the eye of the hunter

Article Abstract:

Evolved responses which are associated with people's responses to the environment are particularly interesting to study. Research has found that people have an innate aesthetic preference for the savannah landscape, reflecting links with the environment in which early man hunted. Our liking for modern environments, such as urban parks, is also the result of connections with savannah habitats.

Suffering in silence

Article Abstract:

Many athletes learn to ignore pain or chronic injuries, but this coping strategy can often backfire and result in physical and psychological stress. A study of 280 college athletes found that 42% had chronic injuries. Athletes should focus on self-care and not blame themselves for their injuries.

Washing the car

Article Abstract:

A short poem on the housekeeper who works diligently at his job and how he loves to keep everything in the house neat and tidy is illustrated. The conscientious worker would not know how clean his car was when his wife rolled him, one last time.
