Testing the boundaries of justice

Article Abstract:

Lesbian feminist Suzanne Pharr feels that the fight against a seemingly unending surge of sex discrimination and violence is in vain. Her major achievements in the field of feminism include the founding of a refuge center for battered women called Women's Anti-Violence Movement, workshops on homophobia by the Lesbian Task Force, community education under Women's Project and the publication of the book 'Homophobia: A Weapon of Sexism.' The impact of political movements on feminism is also predicted.

Feminist reflections from the wheat fields

Article Abstract:

Psychologist Harriet Lerner feels that feminism is a way of letting oneself be heard in a society that expects women to keep silent. Setting aside technical journal writing, the effectiveness of imparting feminist thoughts to the masses through popular writing is discussed. The feeling of being able to strengthen other women and being able to express one's emotions are detailed. The role of feminism in broadening a person's outlook and consciousness is also presented.
