The shock of the new ECT

Article Abstract:

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) have greatly improved since its advent in the 1930's due to research. Recent ECT sessions caused fewer side effects and minor body discomforts. ECT is administered as an alternative treatment to severe depression when all medications have already been tried.
