The spoils of victory: who gets big money from sponsors, and why

Women athletes have more difficulties than men in finding corporate sponsors because of their lower visibility. The most lucrative contracts go to Olympic athletes, skaters, golfers and tennis players. Sponsorship deals can interfere with an athlete's training schedule and personal life.
