The period in a child's life known as the 'terrible two's' can actually be viewed as an exciting time for parents. Between the ages of 18 months and three years, children develop their language skills, become more creative in their play, become more imaginative and show greater curiosity.

Is your baby a self-soother

Infants indulge in activities called self-soothing. These include thumb-sucking, sleeping with a toy, and rhythmic head thumping. Parents should never hurt a child's feelings about these activities. Questions about thumb-sucking, stuffed animals, and other soothing factors are answered.
