Article Abstract:
There are about 600,000 new cases of skin cancer annually in the US, most resulting from sun exposure. Despite these statistics, 41% of US women do not use sunscreen on a regular basis. A examination of sun exposure hazards, and the available protections are presented.

Scientists are concerned over the FDA's approval of dexfenfluramine as an anti-obesity drug. The drug, which is linked to primary pulmonary hypertension, consistently caused serotonin brain damage in animals which received it for weight-loss purposes.
