The willpower myth

Alan Deutschman's book "Change or Die: The Three Keys to Change at Work and in Life" tackles the ways to successfully achieve change, and debunks the whole concept of willpower as the key to change. The book gives three R's in transformation: relating, repeating and reframing. The various transformation concepts conveyed in the book are discussed.

Article Abstract:

Advices on how to loss weight, put a closure to past infedility issues and to motivate a husband to return to work are provided. Losing weight, for instance, was found to take more than just willpower, it needs to be accompanied with lifestyle change and an exercise program. Some of the aspects of husband-wife relations are discussed in detail.

The 28th-day myth

Article Abstract:

Only 28% of women in a study had textbook cycles, or regular 28-day periods. Perimenopausal women's menstrual cycles can exceed 35 days, while women who miss periods entirely may be experiencing anovulation. Menstruation issues such as heavy flows and more painful periods, the reasons behind symptoms, and the corresponding solutions, are given.
