Those hand-clapping games

Article Abstract:

A mother discovers that hand-clapping games popular to third-graders are handed from generation to generation. Her third-grader, who is fond of the games, chants familiar lines which the mother learned from her older daughter. Hand-clapping games involve clapping hands while chanting.

Ant appreciation

A woman describes her new interest - to raise ants as pets. Her interest stemmed from her desire to develop some "bug appreciation" in her family. The ant farm that she created has little plastic tubes for the ants to march and little packages of Palm Springs sand.

Plumbers are said to be the most fully occupied persons in the world and calling for their services is one difficult task to accomplish. Oftentimes, when they respond, the damage has already been fixed, creating a feeling that the incident wasted time.
