Vitamins C and E protect muscles

Vitamin E and vitamin C can defuse free radicals, molecules that can harm muscle tissue. Overtraining, pollution, sunlight and aging causes free radicals to accumulate in muscle tissue. Research indicates that 400 IU of vitamin E and 500 mg of C will protect muscles from free radicals' effects.

Common foods can be ranked according to their ability to satisfy hunger pangs. The foods that readily induce a feeling of satiation include high-carbohydrate and protein foods, while foods high in fat or are very light rank lowest in the list.
