What now for the women of Afghanistan and Iraq?

Article Abstract:

The Bush administration gave different names to justify their war against Afghanistan and Iraq giving the women living there a hope for improved social conditions. Reports coming out however indicate that both the places are still dangerous for women even though there is a marginal improvement in their living conditions.

Right wing plays politics with judicial nominees

Article Abstract:

The Bush administration is working overtime to seize the federal courts and wants to pack them with right-wing anti-rights nominees. Some attempts to block the nominations have been successful but despite small victories the Bush administration is sticking to its right-wing agenda.
