Why babies love blankies

Article Abstract:

Most small children become attached to transitional objects such as blankets or stuffed animals. This attachment is healthy because the objects give the child emotional comfort, foster creativity and enhance social skills. Tips on getting older children to relinquish the objects are presented.

A widow's story

How babies learn by listening

Babies and even fetuses have the ability to hear. Parents should talk to their infants in short sentences and exaggerated intonations. Babies can make some meaning out of sounds by the time they are six months old.
