Article Abstract:

The anniversarial commemorations in 1995 will include important scientific events such as the discovery of X-rays, the widespread occurrence of syphilis and the calculation of the position of Neptune. Some of the important discoveries are discussed. In 1895, X-rays were discovered by Wilhelm Konrad von Rontgen. The position of Neptune was determined in 1845 by John Couch Adams and Urbain Leverrier.

Article Abstract:

The commemorative platter for the year 1996 includes ether anaesthesia, smallpox vaccination, radioactivity, and mathematical morsels. The accidental death of Otto Lilienthal and the Universe is mentioned. The inventions and discoveries under different subjects are arranged chronologically. The platter presents a list of inventions as they occurred in original forms in design, and the consequences to the wellbeing of mankind. The importance and events connected with the inventions and discoveries are cited.
