A conditioned dendritic cell can be a temporal bridge between a CD4 plus T-helper and a T-killer cell

Article Abstract:

Antigenspecific T-killer and T-helper cells have to locate each other if they are to generate immune responses. They are unable to detect each other, but they can use a dendritic cell displaying antigens to both of them. The three cell types are migratory and uncommon, so it seems unlikely that they will interact together. They need not meet simultaneously, however. The helper cell may initially condition dendritic cells which are then able to stimulate killer cells.
