A crack in the Standard Model?

Article Abstract:

Investigations by the CDF team at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory has brought forth evidence to attack the theory of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), a major part of the Standard Model of particle physics. The move was mainly attributed to a minimal deviation in the rate of jet events at high energy levels. This development was explained by the possible presence of particles that were smaller than the fundamental units in the explanation of the Standard Model. Original inaccuracies regarding these quarks and gluons particles were also enumerated.

Article Abstract:

Researchers at Fermilab in the US and CERN in Europe have reported results from experiments to measure CP violation, responsible for the dominance of mater over antimatter in the Universe. CP violation is believed to occur as an accidental by-product of the simplicity of the Standard Model of particle physics. It is reported that the Standard Model predicts r to be negative, contradicting experimental results.
