A late change to the programme: how an engineer became hooked on atmospheric chemistry

Paul J. Crutzen dreamed of becoming a scientist, but due to illness, during exams his grades were too low, so he switched to a shorter course in civil engineering and found his job interesting.In 1959, he moved to Stockholm and learned computer programming. The way he became hooked on stratospheric ozone chemistry is also detailed.
