ASPCA gets flak - again

The new $4 million ASPCA shelter in New York City, NY has been criticized for its design, location and its treatment of cats by various animal welfare groups. The ASPCA has been allowing New York City paramedics to practice tube insertion on anaesthized cats.

Evelyn Wood: the mayor of kitty city

Article Abstract:

Evelyn Wood looks after some 50 stray or abandoned cats in her own home in Chico, CA, until she can find suitable homes for them. She was also jointly responsible for the Chico Cat Coalition which looks after park cats.

Treasure the cat

Stray cats are cared and treated at the Dedication and Everlasting Love To Animals Rescue center founded by Leo Grillo. Grillo personally cared and treated a stray kitten named Treasure, which he keeps in his house.
