All in a hard day's work

Article Abstract:

OWL, Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in British Columbia was started by Bev Day which is established by many people who work hard to save the lives of raptors owls, falcons, eagles and hawks from across North America. OWL is a hospital for sick, injured and orphaned raptors and a home for a few special birds that cannot return to the wild.

Living the high life

Article Abstract:

Alpine animals know what it takes to survive at the top in the cold temperature, high winds, thin air, intense ultraviolet rays and snow for much of the year. Alpine is described as the zone above where trees stop growing on mountainsides.

Christmas invasion

Article Abstract:

Christmas Island, a tiny island off the northwest coast of Australia is one of the few places in the world where red land crabs live. The crabs are under attack by billions of yellow crazy ants that spray acid on them.
