Bell's inequality test: more ideal than ever

Article Abstract:

Researchers at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, have succeeded in fully enforcing J.S. Bell's requirement in his 1964 theorem for strict relativist separation between measurements. An experiment in which the polarizers' orientations are kept fixed during a run makes it possible to reconcile the quantum mechanical predictions and A. Einstein's conceptions by highlighting a possible exchange of signals between the polarizers. This experiment is very close to the ideal Einstein, B. Podolsky and N. Rosen gedanken, or thought, experiment, used to consider the implications of Bell's theorem.
