Bias-free interracial comparisons

Article Abstract:

Interracial comparisons can be valuable from a scientific viewpoint and yet often meet barriers imposed by social conscience because such research has been applied in a biased manner previously such as comparing cranial size to intelligence. Roger Bannister suggested the predominance of successful black athletes should be explored for racial characteristics and yet failed to consider that athletics is often a way out of poverty for disadvantaged people. Though political correctness should not be allowed to steer research directions, an awareness of the social implications of research is necessary.
