Article Abstract:

Equipments such as microscopes and spectrophotometers, and reagents used in biomedical research are discussed. The MC-210 mycoplasma removal agent destroys mycoplasma pollutants in cell cultures. Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies assist in the study of apoptosis. The spectrophotometer using Windows95 allows rapid collection, manipulation and presentation of data. Gel electrophoresis allows protein visualization and ICCD technology allows biomedical imaging.

Bond managers: check your assumptions

Article Abstract:

Several bond managers rely on false assumptions. The two most widely accepted misconceptions are that a manager can consistently forecast shifts in interest rates, and that bond ratings appropriately examine risk in individual bonds, and the return differentials among bonds are based on differences in ratings. Bond managers would do well to avoid dependence on these invalid assumptions despite their popularity among their contemporaries.
