Career charter sets out rights of Europe's young scientists

Article Abstract:

The European Commission intends to release a 'career charter' on 11 March 2005 with the hope that it would help to introduce better and more consistent scientific training. The charter declares that all European Union (EU) researchers, including PhD students, should be recognized as professionals and treated accordingly thus defining the rights and duties of both young researchers and their supervisors.
