Cash for Russian nuclear scientists criticized

Article Abstract:

Congress raises a question on the usefulness of Initiatives for Proliferation Prevention Program initiated by the U.S. Department of Energy, which pays destitute nuclear scientists. The main objective of the program was to prevent scientist from working for states not following the international agreements.

Tissue-sample payements anger lawmakers

Researchers planning to set up human tissue bank, face challenges such as alleged sale of samples to a US drug firm. There are concerns about how investigators protect the privacy of patients who donate tissue, and how they give consent for future studies on these tissues.

The many authors for a single paper raises the question about the credit of the works of the author as all the authors share the work more or less equally, but institutionally initiated limitation on the number of authors on a paper is likely to emerge in future.
