Endocrine disrupter verdict left open

Article Abstract:

There is a lack of data giving accurate assessments of the risk to public health posed by endocrine disrupters according to the US National Research Council (NRC). A panel of experts agreed that some of the chemicals may have adverse effects on the reproduction and development of wildlife at high doses. The Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) argues that such chemicals can have extremely adverse effects in in small doses.

Planning for US science policy in 2009

Article Abstract:

The scientific and technical community should start planning for the US science policy in 2009 to maximize the resources allocated to science and technology during the next US administration. Some of the steps that the scientific community should take to position itself to shape and inform policy during the next administration are described.
